Erin Beckloff is a designer and letterpress printer. She is co-director and writer of Pressing On: The Letterpress Film, a documentary about the survival of letterpress and the remarkable printers who preserve the history and knowledge of the craft. Previously, as an art director at advertising agencies in Cincinnati and Kansas City and marketing director for a non-profit in Dayton, she learned the marketing process and developed award winning print creative. She studied letterpress through practical application and the shared knowledge of master printers, including the talented folks at Hatch Show Print and Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum. As a Visiting Instructor at Miami, she developed the Hand Media, Letterpress & Book Arts course and maintains the Curmudgeon Press type shop. She has had the privilege of working with clients including Hobart Corporation and Wendy’s. Erin earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Miami University and her MFA in Graphic Design from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
