Each spring, Miami design seniors spend their fall semester developing portfolios and working out their thesis concept. Once spring comes around, it’s all thesis, all the time. Over the course of the semester, students present their work to two rounds of outside critics, one at midterm and one at final. This year’s critics for midterm were John Kitzmiller, creative director of Anthem! a global strategic design firm focusing on brand analysis and articulation and Rick Mariani. The final critic was Joel Warneke, owner of Rocket Science + Design, a boutique branding firm based in Mason, Ohio.
The senior thesis exhibition caps off the semester, an event that functions both as a celebration and a recruiting event.
