Faimon and Platt Present at SxSW 2012

December 27, 2011
Peg Faimon

Join Peg Faimon, Professor of Graphic Design, and Glenn Platt, Professor of Marketing, and Co-Directors of the Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies, in Austin, Texas for the premier conference focused on digital media: South-by-Southwest Interactive (SxSW). This year’s event runs from March 9-13, and Faimon and Platt will be speaking during the heart of the conference on March 11. They competed with some 3500 other proposals for a coveted presentation spot.

They will be leading one of the “core conversations” entitled Brand as API: Connect Differently: Consider the API as a new model for how brands build connection to users. Bringing insights from programming, experience design, and marketing, this strategic session will explore this new model with detailed examples and present a roadmap for re-thinking your brand in the context of a user-controlled API. Key questions include: How do we relate to brands? What is an API? How do brands speak to us? What can a brand do to connect? Who controls a brand?

Hope to see you in March!
