We’re hiring a Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor

The Department of Art at Miami University (Ohio) invites applications for a full-time, tenured track position in Graphic Design at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning August 2018. Responsibilities include teaching and advising in the Communication Design Program at the undergraduate level, with opportunity for graduate teaching; creative work and/or research that demonstrates an active creative/scholarly agenda of significance to the design field; and service requirements such as committee work, facility supervision, and/or program administration.

Required: A thorough knowledge of the communication/graphic design field including software and production expertise; an MFA or equivalent degree (by start date of August 20, 2018). Strong candidates will have professional experience in the field, teaching experience, skills in interaction design and contribution to diversity.

Art: Assistant/Associate Professor of Communication Design:

For appointment as Associate Professor require an established record of teaching and creative endeavors.  Consideration may be given to candidates with professional experience in the field, teaching experience, a strong knowledge of the communication/graphic design field including software and production expertise, or skills in interaction design.
